For purposes of this Privacy Policy, we refer to the above collectively as "Content."

4. Internal Review & Access
Authorized SignalBench personnel may access stored Content only when reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes, including:
- Support
- Debugging
- Security
- Abuse review
- Limited product and UX improvement
We use role-based access controls designed to limit access to Content to authorized personnel with a legitimate need to access it. We do not promise that internal review will never occur. Casual browsing or access for non-business reasons is not authorized.
5. Third-Party Services
SignalBench may rely on third-party service providers, including providers for cloud hosting, storage, authentication, analytics, communications, and AI processing, in order to operate the service.
When you use AI-powered features, your Content may be processed by third-party AI providers on our behalf, including OpenAI, to generate responses, support structured analysis, and operate service features.
As of the Last Updated date of this Policy, OpenAI states that data sent through its business offerings and API platform is not used to train or improve OpenAI's models by default unless the customer explicitly opts in.
Third-party service providers process data for us in accordance with their applicable terms and our agreements with them. Their privacy and security practices may change over time.
6. Data Storage and Security
We use commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information, including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS)
- Secure hosting infrastructure
- Role-based access controls and authentication safeguards
No system can guarantee absolute security. You use SignalBench at your own discretion and risk.
If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will take steps we consider appropriate under the circumstances and as required by applicable law.
7. Data Retention
We retain your Content while your account is active.
If you stop using the service or discontinue your subscription without requesting deletion of your account, we may retain your Content for up to two (2) years in order to preserve continuity in the event you return to the service. For clarity, inactivity, lapse of subscription, or passive discontinuation of use is not the same as an account deletion request.
After that period, we may remove personally identifying information from retained materials while continuing to retain non-personal, de-identified, aggregated, or company-related casefile information retained to improve company profiles and service quality, as well as for analytics, security, recordkeeping, or other legitimate business purposes.
We may also retain limited data as reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, prevent fraud, or protect the security and integrity of the service.
8. Deletion Requests
You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at: signal-bench@outlook.com
We will use commercially reasonable efforts to respond to and complete qualifying deletion requests within seven (7) days of receipt.
When we process a qualifying deletion request, we will delete the user's active account profile, storybook, and associated active user account data from active systems, subject to reasonable backup retention cycles, legal obligations, security needs, and fraud prevention.
For clarity, deletion of a user account does not necessarily require deletion of non-personal, de-identified, aggregated, or company-related casefile information retained to improve company profiles and service quality, provided that such retained information no longer identifies the user.
9. No Employment or Background Data Collection
SignalBench does not:
- Conduct background checks
- Collect credit data
- Access employer HR systems
- Purchase third-party personal data
All information used by the system originates from what you provide or from service-generated workflow artifacts derived from what you provide.
10. Your Responsibilities Regarding Submitted Content
You may only upload, submit, or paste content that you have the right to use and disclose.
You must not submit:
- Confidential employer materials you are not authorized to disclose
- Third-party personal information you are not authorized to provide
- Proprietary or restricted documents you do not have permission to use
- Prohibited sensitive information identified in Section 1
11. Your Rights
At this time, your primary account-level right is to request deletion of your account and associated active-profile data by emailing signal-bench@outlook.com.
We may expand available user rights and account controls over time.
12. Children's Privacy
SignalBench is intended for individuals age 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
13. Account Integrity
SignalBench is designed to support a single individual's career workflow. Accounts are not intended for shared or multi-user use.
Sharing account credentials will result in mixed or inaccurate profile data, casefile contamination, and unreliable analytical outputs.
You are responsible for maintaining exclusive control of your account credentials.
14. Beta / Experimental Features
SignalBench may offer certain features in beta, preview, or experimental form. Such features may change, malfunction, or be discontinued without notice.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updated versions will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date. If we make material changes, we may also provide additional notice, such as through the service or by email. Continued use of SignalBench after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
